Prospective PhD students
How to obtain a PhD student position
There are two ways of becoming a PhD student at Lund University's medical faculty. First, and most commonly, by applying for a pre-defined PhD project, which is a fully funded project. An alternative is if you have an externally funded scholarship. Lund University does not have any individual grants available, but if you have obtained a scholarship from an external foundation, it is possible to apply to our PhD programme. Below you find more information about these two trajectories, and the eligibility criteria that apply to all prospective PhD students.
