Study space and group rooms

There are a number of reading spaces at our libraries and study centres. There are separate rooms for silent study, as well as reading spaces in our libraries and other study environments.

Opening hours

Lund - BMC Forum Medicum (house E)

At BMC in Lund, there are study places in Forum Medicum (building E). Opening hours for students are: Mondays to Sundays from 06:45 to 22:00 Please note that you need an access card (LU Card) outside office hours.

Malmö - CRC

You need an access card if you want to enter the CRC building in the evenings and weekends. Please note that you will also need the access card if you want to visit the library outside of staffed opening hours.

Group rooms 

There are bookable group rooms. Several of the group rooms are equipped with a whiteboard and screens to make group work easier.

Please note that you will have to log in with your Student-ID.

You can book a room for 2 hours at a time. The rooms can be booked 2 weeks in advanced, but maximum 6 bookings per fortnight. Do not forget to cancel, if you will not use the room! 

To gain access to group rooms at CRC, you must have an access card with CRC authorization. At BMC you use the LU Card.

Confirm your reservation on site!

Both at BMC and CRC there is a mandatory check-in procedure for group rooms:

  • Scan the QR code at the door sign outside the room you booked. The reservation will appear at the top of the booking page, click the confirm button.
  • You can check in no earlier than 15 minutes before and no later than 15 minutes after the booking start time. If you do not check in, your reservation will be automatically cancelled and the room made available for others to book.
  • Please note: If you have reserved several time slots in a row in the same room, you´ll need to confirm each booking.
