How you can support medical research

Do you want to join those who donate to medical research and help society so that people, in Sweden and globally, can have a better and healthier life?

There are plenty of ways to give!

Make a direct donation to the field of research you are passionate about

If you would like to make a donation to a field of research you are passionate about, you can pay money into the University’s bank giro 830-6599 (for payments from abroad, please contact your bank). State your name, contact details and the field of research you want to support. If you need further information or suggestions for a field of research, please contact us for assistance.

Give a memorial gift or make a celebratory donation

You can mark a special occasion or honour a person’s memory by supporting research. Christmas, gift and company donations are popular ways to make a difference and participate in our important work. You can pay money into the University’s bank giro 830-6599. Remember to state your name, contact details and the area of research you want to support. If you want to recognise a relative, through a tribute gift for example, we also need their name and postal address. You can submit this information either on the giro form or in a message via your internet bank. Please note, for payments from non-Swedish banks contact your bank for further help with international payments.

Bequeath funds to medical research

By including the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University in your will, you can support the field of research that you feel is important. For more information, please contact us for assistance.

Donate a tax-exempt share dividend (applies only to Sweden)

By donating a tax-exempt share dividend, you increase the value of the donation. You can donate the dividends from listed companies or as the owner of a private company.

Information about donating a tax-exempt share dividend according to Swedish legislation (the central website at Lund University, information in Swedish)

Create a foundation or fund

Placing money in a foundation or fund is a good way to create long-term returns and secure funding over time, for example by awarding research support or scholarships, or establishing a professorship.

If you would like to discuss a donation, get further information on our fields of research or details about how you can help, please get in touch with us. Our contact details are in the right-hand column.

We are a faculty of medicine that understands, explains and improves our world and people’s health.
