Faculty of Medicine Malmö

Patient-centred clinical research, epidemiological studies, and basic research in laboratory settings are conducted here. Because we operate within the hospital area in Malmö, the paths between the clinic, the laboratory, and back to the clinic are short—not only conceptually, but also in a very literal, physical sense.

Around 70 research groups carry out research in the field of medicine here, and education is provided at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels. Approximately 650 researchers, doctoral students, and technical and administrative staff work here. 

Research groups from two of the faculty’s six departments are based here:
